As part of a national initiative by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, River Acres Water Supply has carried out an inventory on the types of materials of all customers' water service lines in the distribution system prior to the designated date of October 16, 2024. This inventory is an important step in protecting public health and minimizing the risk of lead entering your drinking water from service pipes and fixtures in your home.
River Acres Water Supply is pleased to announce we have zero (0) lead water service lines, however we do have thirty-seven (37) galvanized lines requiring replacement which consists of a combination of utility owned service lines and customer owned service lines requiring replacement. Letters have been sent out to those customers that have galvanized lines requiring replacement and more information will be communicated over the next few years as we await further instructions from TCEQ on the replacement process. We ask that customers do not do anything at this time.
If you did not receive a letter, you were not one of the ones with galvanized lines requiring replacement.
